What about reading the state book award for all 50?
I've decided to choose one author and read all their books in one year. I am going to, and I know this will sound horribly low-brow, read all of Agatha Christie's novels and short story collections and create a blog that attempts to look for unifying themes and connections. I'll also include her 2 autobiographies and works written under a pseudonym. I know it will get a bit samey, but I can deal with that.
